WLARC taster day - 12 September

Come and try something new in 2026! As we proudly celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are opening our doors for a fun and welcoming Rowing Taster Day. Meet like-minded women, enjoy the beautiful Weybridge surroundings, and get introduced to the sport of rowing.

🚣‍♀️ What to Expect

Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up an oar, this day is perfect for beginners. You’ll enjoy:

• Ergo Training: Get hands-on experience with rowing machines to build your skills and confidence.
• Sculling in a Coxed Boat: Time on the water in a stable, coxed boat with experienced volunteers helping you every step of the way.

We anticipate the day to run from approximately 10:00-16:00 but this will be confirmed closer to the date.

💪 Requirements

• We are a ladies only club
• 18 and over
• Able to swim
• Basic level of fitness
• No prior rowing experience required

🎉 What Happens Next?

If you love the day, we’ll be running a follow‑on Learn to Row course starting 26 September, designed to gently build confidence, skills, and fitness on and off the water.
