🎯 CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL

Two levels – from complete beginners to experienced players developing their Caixa-technique further. The levels overlap in tempo – technique, control and experience determine your level.

🥁 LEVEL 1 – FUNDAMENTALS | 0–100 BPM

For beginners and players building their foundation. No experience required.

Learn grip, stroke and rebound, coordination, 16th notes, reto and swing – building towards playing with the bateria at 100 BPM.

🔥 LEVEL 2 – DEVELOPMENT | 80–120 BPM

For players with solid fundamentals who can maintain a steady Caixa pattern from around 80 BPM.

Develop technique, control, swing and endurance through different levadas from escolas de samba in Rio.
