🏀 The Swish Factory – Junior Academy

The Swish Factory is Stockport Basketball Club’s junior academy for boys and girls, designed to help young players develop their basketball skills, confidence and love for the game.

Sessions are fun, energetic and focused on building strong fundamentals, including ball handling, passing, shooting, attacking, defending and teamwork, delivered by experienced Stockport Basketball coaches.

Whether your child is new to basketball or looking to develop their existing skills, The Swish Factory is a great place to learn, make friends and level up their game! 🏀💚

To help us secure external grants and community funding, we have included a few optional demographic questions below.

Why we ask this:
As a community basketball academy, our goal is to keep session fees as low as possible and ensure basketball is accessible to everyone. Grant providers (such as Sport England and local community trusts) require us to prove we are reaching a diverse range of players, supporting low-income families, and breaking down barriers to sport.

How your data is handled:

• Strictly Confidential: Your individual answers will never be shared with third parties or used to make decisions about your child’s membership.
• Fully Anonymised: Before being submitted to any funding bodies, this data is combined into anonymous statistics (e.g., "45% of our players qualify for Free School Meals").
• Completely Optional: You do not have to answer these questions to book a space. You can select "Prefer not to say" for any question.

Thank you for helping us keep our academy funded, accessible, and running for the community!
