Evolve Youth Awards (Go Ride) cycling program is a riding skills program specially designed for children! It paves the way for cycling in all disciplines. The sessions will be coached by British Cycling qualified coaches.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
🚴♂️ Our 3-day cycling camp is the perfect opportunity for young riders to grow in confidence and ability!
Whether your child is joining us for the first time or returning to build on past progress, this camp offers the ideal balance of learning new skills and reinforcing existing ones. As we know, repetition and practice are key 🔑 to mastering technique.
🗓️ Each day is split into two focused parts:
✔️ Part 1: Developing new cycling skills
✔️ Part 2: Practising and refining those skills until they feel second nature
We’re passionate about creating a fun, supportive, and motivating environment where every child can thrive 💪😄
👥 Riders will be grouped based on ability. Our coaches may adjust groupings during the camp to ensure everyone is supported appropriately and learning safely.
Please select the group that you see fits the most, you can always discuss this with an Evolve Youth Awards Coach. The groups are as follows
Balance - A game based course designed to teach balance and how to pedal.
Balance+ - Riders will learn the correct way to set off and pedal and establish the skills needed to circle a 400m track safely. They will learn skills such as braking effectively, mounting/dismounting and stability whilst cycling slowly.
Pedal - Riders should be able to handle a bike effectively and circle the track multiple times safely. Riders will be taught skills such as one handed riding, gears, riding out of the saddle and group riding.
Rider Challenge - Riders need to be able to confidently ride one handed, use their gears effectively, corner using the correct techniques and more.

Timings:
Registration will start promptly at 9.15am
What to bring:
Every child needs a bike, helmet, water bottle and some snacks (nut free). We will break for a snack during the session.

All children should bring their own bikes and helmets. There are 3 additional medical questions added to the end of the booking from. If you child has a medical condition which requires immediate emergency medicine i.e. a Epi-pen it is important that the child has it on them and that the Lead coach for your group is aware.
