Stockport Basketball Club

Stockport Basketball Club is a community basketball club with a proud history dating back to 1963, when it was founded by Jim Bennison. Today, the club supports 120+ players across 10 teams, providing opportunities for boys and girls to play, develop and compete. With a strong family ethos, we aim to develop not only talented players but also coaches, officials and future volunteers, creating a positive environment where young people can build confidence, teamwork, discipline and resilience both on and off the court. Our ambition is to provide an accessible pathway from grassroots participation through to competitive basketball, while ensuring the club remains inclusive, sustainable and firmly rooted in the Stockport community.
