PRIVACY STATEMENT

We need to process certain information about you so that you can use Spond ("the service"). It is important for Spond that your privacy is safeguarded when using the service and that you understand how we use your personal information. In this privacy statement, we explain, among other things, which information we collect, why, and how we use the information. This privacy statement is part of Spond's terms of use. By accepting the privacy statement and terms of use, you agree that Spond processes your personal information in accordance with the privacy statement.

1 Information we collect

Information you provide us

In connection with your profile, you can register, among other things, name, email, phone number, address, date of birth and payment card number. You can also choose to upload a profile picture.

Information Spond registers when you use the service

We register information regarding your use of the service, including (i) the domain from which the service is visited, (ii) which browser is used, (iii) the duration of the visit, (iv) the IP address, (v) device information, (vi) cookies, (vii) anonymous identifiers, (viii) time of visit, (ix) how you use the service (including which features you use), (x) how many groups you create, (xi) location and (xii) how long it takes for you to complete tasks in the service.

Information we collect from others

If you use Spond Cashback, we receive information about time of purchase, place of purchase, and the amount paid. We receive this information from the banks through BankAxept. We receive no further purchase details.

If you use Spond Cashback for online purchases, we will also receive information regarding which products or services you purchased,

2 How we use your personal information

Completion of the agreement with you

Spond uses your personal information to deliver the service as agreed. We also use the information to provide you with the best possible user experience, such as automatic login and customization of service for your device.

Personalization of the service

The information is used to personalize the service, for example, by finding content that is relevant to you or other users or groups of users.

Development, improvement, statistics and measurement

The information is used to better understand how our users access and use the service, in order to better respond to users preferences and wishes and to improve the service as a whole. The information is also used for other research and analysis purposes.

Marketing and analysis

For users who have an active customer relationship with Spond (that is, you are a registered user or administrator for one or more groups), we will be able to send marketing by email, SMS or other electronic communication methods. Such marketing always takes place within the framework of the Marketing Control Act. You may request not to receive such marketing. If you do not have an active customer relationship with Spond, or if we wish to send you marketing that is beyond the scope of the customer relationship, we will always ask for your consent before we send you marketing.

When using Spond Cashback for online purchases, we can access transaction information as mentioned above. Through the use of analysis tools, we analyse this information so we can adapt our communication, including marketing, to you. You can opt out of such profiling at any time by changing the settings of the service.

3 How we share your personal information

In general

We only share your personal information with others if it is necessary to perform the service or we should be bound to such sharing by law, regulation or legal process.

Any sharing in addition to such sharing as mentioned in this paragraph requires your consent. This does not prevent us from using processors to process personal information on our behalf (subject to a data processing agreement). Some of our processors are located outside the EU/EEA. The processing of personal data by such processors is safeguarded by entry into of the EU’s standard contractual clauses for transfer of personal data to third countries. Processors located in the USA may alternatively be Privacy Shield certified.  

About Spond Cashback

If you use Spond Cashback, we share your bank account number with our payment service provider(s), and pursuant to executed data processor agreement(s). The purpose of the sharing is to enable us to track and allocate transactions related to Spond Cashback. The payment service provider(s) do(es) not receive any information about you other than your bank account number. If you register multiple bank account numbers, they will know that it is the same person that has registered the bank account numbers, but the will not receive information about your identity. 

The administrator of each of the groups you are associated with will only know how much Cashback the group has earned, but will not be able to see each member’s contribution.

The Spond Cashback partners regularly receive lists of transactions done by Spond-users so that they can compare this information with information in their own systems (store, amount and time of purchase). They will not receive any other information about you. 

When you use Spond Cashback for online purchases, we also share a unique code with a partner or with a partner network that acts as an intermediary between us and our partners. This code acts as an identifier that lets us know that you have made a specific purchase. Neither the partner nor the partner network can connect the identifier to you. 

4 Other Spond users may access your information

Your information (name, e-mail, telephone number, picture and any information you post) is visible for other members of the individual Spond group where you are member or other participants to events where you participate.  

In order for Spond to be easy to use for creating groups and arrange events, you are searchable for other Spond users if they know your telephone number or e-mail. If they search you up, they will have access to your name, telephone number/email and picture if you have chosen to submit that. 

If you do not want other Spond users to have access your information as described above, you should limit the information you submit or not use the service.

Your payment cards and other information which are not necessary to see for other users is not displayed.  

5 Access, correction and deletion of personal data

You have the right to access the personal data we have registered about you. The information you have registered or otherwise provided is visible in your profile and each of your Spond groups. If any of the information we have registered about you is incorrect, we encourage you to make changes to your profile. There, you may also delete your personal information unless they are necessary for us to provide the service. You may also withdraw any consents you have given at any time. Feel free to contact us for assistance.

We will not process your personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing and our statutory duties. Note that your activity in Spond (for example registrations, de-registrations, posts, notifications, and other communication) will remain visible for relevant persons (including Spond group members and event participant etc.) also if you de register from one or more of your groups or you delete your Spond profile. When you delete your Spond-profile, your name and contact information associated to your activities will be anonymized/removed.   

6 Children's privacy

Children below the age of 15 can use the service. If the child's guardian is registered as a user, they will be able to see the child's activity (for example, events they participate in or comments they provide). The age limit for creating groups in the service is 13 years.

7 Cookies

We use cookies and other technologies to enhance the user experience and make the most effective use of the service. A cookie is a piece of data sent from an online site that is visited and stored locally on the user's browser. The purpose is to use cookies to maintain data related to user preferences and account settings, as well as to evaluate and compile statistics about user activity. Most browsers accept cookies as default. You may decline your use at any time by making changes to the browser settings to not accept cookies. However, note that some parts of the service may not work properly if cookies are removed. You can read more about which cookies we use and how they function here.

8 Information Security

We have implemented organizational and technical procedures and measures that will ensure that your personal information is not compromised, not unintentionally changed, and available when required.

9 Changes to the Privacy Statement

We will occasionally update this privacy statement to reflect any changes to the service. In such cases, a changed privacy statement will be published on spond.com. In case of major changes, we will notify you directly in the appropriate manner, either via the service or by email.
